I've been working very closely with the lover this year, and I have so much valuable information to share on this topic. The liver is the main organ that controls sleep. During the night, when the body is the least active, the liver is the most active. This can produce sleeplessness. Here’s why. When the liver is unencumbered, it will do its work effortlessly but, if it is encumbered, it can become over-active in doing its work. This overactivity awakens you after you have fallen asleep, which is usually between 12 am to 3 am. It’s like trying to sleep in the midst of commotion. And the commotion is inside your body. You feel exhausted and you also feel wired. Having a clean liver usually prevents this type of sleeplessness from happening.

Stress can also be a culprit when it comes to sleeplessness. This results in the nerves losing their ability to keep the blood clean. Then toxins remain in circulation in the bloodstream, which affects the liver. At night the nerves are unable to relax and sleep is hard to come by.

  • 1 beet with green tops
