Some of My Favorite Things: Health Edition 1

Hello All,

As I know some of you are aware and have been following me on my health journey the last couple months I would like to share some of my favorite things that have helped me on my journey this far...

1.) BERKEY WATER FILTER

I knew our water systems were flooded with chemicals but I did not realize just how bad until I got sick and had heavy metal toxicity. With all the round up and other glyphostates they are spraying on our ground daily, it is getting into our water systems and making us ill! I am disgusted and angry at what I found. No wonder people are sick with skin issues and endocrine issues.

• It filters bacteria to a 99.99999% level and viruses to a 99.9999% level. •Removes Lead, MTBE’s, and other heavy metals up to 95%. •Removes fluoride and arsenic if you opt for the fluoride filters •Removes chlorine • It’s Easy to clean, maintain, and it’s pretty 🙂) • Long lasting filters, - filters changed every 3.5 years. YUP! Crazy. •Easy to assemble. •No electricity- take on the go for vacation & light weight. • Stainless Steel •PURE tasting water

2.) PORTER TO GO BOWL

Now we shouldn't even be microwaving food at all but microwaving food in plastic is a big no-no!!! Now that I am packing my lunch and dinners everyday for work I don't know what I'd do without my BPA-free ceramic porter to go bowls! Whether you're packing a salad, a grain bowl, or leftover pasta, this durable lunch bowl is perfect for taking a meal on the go. Designed with a durable non-slip exterior, it features a plastic lid and snap-tight silicone strap for a secure seal.

3.) STASHER BAGS

Another good one for meal prepping and packing lunches..

It's time to rethink plastic.

Fun. Functional. Reusable. Responsible. Stasher’s 100% pure platinum food grade silicone bags are the healthy alternative to plastic. And just plain smarter.
4.) GROUNDING MAT
Just as the sun gives us warmth and vitamin D, the Earth underfoot gives us food and water, a surface to walk, sit, stand, play, and build on, and something you never, ever thought about—an eternal, natural, and gentle energy. Think of it perhaps as vitamin G—G for ground. What does that mean to you? Maybe the difference between feeling good and not so good, of having little or a lot of energy, or sleeping well or not so well. You can’t see the Earth’s energy but some people can feel it as a warm, tingling, and pleasant sensation when they are out walking barefoot along the water’s edge at the beach or on a stretch of dew-moistened grass. A grounding Mat give off the same energy as the earth since its so hard to ground in the winter... This is essential for when you are feeling unsure, ungrounded, fatigued, anxious and depressed.
5.) Essential Oils
I Love essential oils. I use Plant Therapy for my essential oils and oils are so healing. I diffuse them and I sometimes just rub some them on my hands and take some deep cleansing breaths as I am also working on my breath work. They have a chakra oil set that is my absolute favorite to help balance the chakras while going through this healing journey!
6.) Veritas CBD Oil
CBD oil has really helped me on my journey as I didn't want to be on any Anxiety meds, of course i've tried some that didn't really do much for me but after extensive research I found Verita's Farms. The highest, quality, purest CBD oil: all natural, no pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or unnatural fertilizers, full spectrum, organic ingredients and so much more!
7.) The main MVP is my Juicer!!
Juicing has been a HUGE role in my healing journey! Giving me all the nutrients I need fast, I have been on the celery juice cleanse. But I literally juice everything! The greener the juice the better. Here are some of the pros of juicing:
Nutrient boost – Juicing is one way to squeeze more fruits and vegetables into your diet, and while chewing your produce is preferable to drinking it, consuming produce is preferable to not consuming it.
Convenience – You can purchase pre-made juices if you’re in a hurry or on-the-go, rather than
putting in the time and effort to make them yourself.
Variety – One serving of juice can contain a variety of fruits and vegetables, some of which you may rarely or never consume. Everyone has that one fruit or vegetable they just don’t get around to befriending. Dandelion greens, anyone?

Eating your greens is one of the most important things you can do for your body, which is why you need to know how to make a simple green juice. If you have a juicer at home, toss these ingredients into the juicer and enjoy:

  • 1 cup kale

  • 1 cup spinach

  • 1 cucumber

  • ½ cup parsley

  • 2 celery stalks

  • 1, 1-inch piece of peeled ginger

  • 1 peeled lime or lemon

The body is so resilient and can heal all on its own without the use of harmful chemicals, medications, etc.. We just need to give it the proper tools to do so all on its own! These are just some of my personal favorite from my healing journey. What are some of your favorites? I'd love to hear from you, so comment below. Next week I will post some of my favorite Healing techinques and supplements.

XOXO,
Allie
