Could You Be Layering Your Products In The Wrong Order?

“Should I apply toner after I moisturize or before?” And, “What about my eye cream … should it go on first or last?” If you’ve asked yourself these questions, don’t worry - you’re not alone. Although there’s no golden rule around how to apply your products, layering them in the correct order determines how effectively your products absorb into the skin. As a general rule, the order in which you apply your skin care products should begin with the lightest to the richest consistency. Here’s an easy, ordered list to follow after cleansing, for optimal results:

1. TONER Toners, toniques and hydrating mists infuse the skin with vitamins and antioxidants while hydrating and balancing your complexion. A toner also preps the skin to better absorb ingredients from the next steps of your skin care routine. Spray your favorite Éminence toner directly onto skin or moisten a cotton round with toner and gently swipe across the face, including the neck area.
